The Lotus ceramic keepsake cremation urn has a delicate, hand-carved lotus pattern on the body and lid. It has a celadon glaze which enhances the design as it pools into the carved lines showing a deeper celadon blue. This funeral urn is inspired by an exquisite Chinese funeral vase from the Song Dynasty (1000 or 1100 A.D.). It is thrown in two pieces and then assembled. The thrown lid is carved with a hollow openwork lotus bud handle that conatins a porcelain bead. The body is also carved with a lotus pattern that ascends from the base. The lotus is a beautiful eastern symbol for rebirth. Since each Lotus urn is special and one-of-a-kind, please allow for slight variations in color, texture, and size.
As a Token of Remembrance
Keepsake and token remembrance cremation urns are miniature urns that are designed to hold only a small portion of ashes, or cremated remains. Keepsake urns are medium-sized and token urns are the very smallest cremation urns.
Keepsake and token cremation urns make it possible for family members or friends to divide up the cremated remains so that each person can have an urn. If the cremated remains are to be scattered, keepsakes and tokens also make it possible for loved ones and friends to retain a small amount of cremated remains to be scattered later or kept as a permanent memorial.

Keepsake and token cremation urns can be kept at home, entombed in a cemetery columbarium niche, or buried in an earth grave. Please note some cemetery regulations may require that this urn be placed inside of an urn vault prior to earth burial.
